Dr. Lisa Boals
A native of Arkansas, Dr. Boals received her Bachelor of Science in Microbiology and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (2008) degrees from Mississippi State University. During veterinary college, she developed special interests in dentistry, cardiology, and feline medicine, as well as representing her class for the American Animal Hospital Association.
Being from a parasite-ridden area of the country, she has become dubbed 'The Heartworm Queen', so if you have any questions about heartworms (or fleas and ticks), don't hesitate to ask!
Dr. Boals has adapted to the colder, drier climate of Colorado quite well - just don't ask her to drive on snowy roads. She lives in suburban Denver with her husband Paul, and enjoys fly-fishing, horseback riding, and hiking with her rescued Coonhound, Loretta. Her home is also shared with a Golden Retriever, T.J.
